Book Development Group is an intensive guided support group for a very small group of women poets writing all or mostly in form or meter.  It is a year-long container for you and 2 or 3 other poets to meet regularly with each other and with me to bring your book of poems towards or to completion.

The group lasts for a 1-year, during which time you will work on book concept; organization and structure; poem selection and arrangement; final revisions of individual poems; placing poems in magazines; choosing and approaching publishers; and more.  

The world needs more powerful, world-changing metrical poetry by women and gender-nonconforming people! And,  specificially, it needs exactly the kind of powerful, world-changing metrical poetry that those raised under internal and external patriarchal  pressures are the least likely to allow ourselves to conceive — let alone to gestate into their fullest glory, birth brilliantly into book form, and proudly, joyfully share with the world!  To invite such books into the world is the purpose of this group.

To be pat of this group it doesn’t matter whether you have published numerous books of poetry, one, or none.  What matters is that you have a good grasp of meter and strong critical skills.
