Commemorative Poems and Commissions

Annie uses her unique blend of skillful craft and inspired passion to shape poems well-suited to mark and honor moments in our individual or collective lives. Her commissions for public occasions have included poems in honor of the launch of the Women’s Poetry Timeline at the National Museum of Women in the Arts in Washington D.C., a Maine State Legislators awards dinner, a phi beta kappa poem for Yale University,  and the 9-11 Memorial at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine in New York,  as well as a library dedication, a fountain groundbreaking, a literary cafe—and personal occasions such as weddings, birthdays, graduations, and anniversaries.
