A special poetry-skills workshop for yoga-lovers across the world!

Taught by Annie Finch and Sanya Khurana

METER FOR YOGIS: WRITING WITH POETRY'S FLOW

March 21, 2026

9am PT / 12pm ET / 6pm GMT / 9:30pm IST

2-hour workshop

As a yogi, you know the ecstatic flow that arises from devoting yourself to the wisdom of sacred traditions and honoring the wisdom embodied in yoga’s diverse poses.

Poetry, like yoga, has time-tested sacred poses that lead to an ecstatic flow of deeply embodied wisdom.

In this workshop guided by poets Annie Finch and Sanya Khurana, you will learn to create poems that embody the sacred powers of poetry’s essential shapes and rhythms.

Immersing yourself in the meanings and energies of the sacred “poses” that make great poetry sing, you will find your poetic words and thoughts entering a new world of music and meaning.

For this generative workshop that offers time to create and share new poems, you won’t need to bring anything but paper, pen, and an open heart.  Or if you like, you can bring a favorite poem you’ve already written, and watch it take beautiful flight with your new poetry tools.

We’d love you to join us!

Feel free to reach out if you have any questions.

Love,

Annie and Sanya
