Chants

Here’s me singing three of my favorite classic witch-chants. Some folks have asked me for them after reading about them in my writings, and it can be hard to find the basic tunes on Youtube. So here y’all go! Enjoy!

The earth, the air, the fire, the water

Return, return, return, return. . .

A classic chant for raising, and releasing, energy

We all come from the Goddess,
and to her we shall return
like a drop of rain
flowing to the ocean . . .

Isis, Astarte, Diana, Hecate, Demeter, Kali, Inanna

This widely-loved chant by Zusanna Budapest is often sung in a two-part round

The circle is open, and unbroken.
May our love for ourselves be always  in our hearts.
Merry meet, and merry part, and merry meet again.

The circle is open, and unbroken.
May our love for each other  be always in our hearts.
Merry meet, and merry part, and merry meet again.

The circle is open, and unbroken.
May our love for the Goddess be always in our hearts.
Merry meet, and merry part, and merry meet again.

The final stanza of this chant is often used to close a sacred circle
(my own Sacred Circle added the first two stanzas).
