Poetry Witchery circles, developed by award-winning poet and beloved teacher Dr. Annie Finch, introduce Annie’s system of rhythmically exploratory writing and powerful self-transformation based in the ancient crafts of poetic meter. Poetry Witchery brings together Annie’s lifetime journey in poetry and ritual with her Ph.D scholarship in meter, tuning our awareness and energies to the frequencies of will, mind, body, heart, and spirit.
Poetry Witchery offers poets, witches, and everyone in between a beautiful, simple, and enjoyable path towards reuniting with hidden parts of ourselves, bringing the conscious and unconscious mind into clear communication. No matter your background, you will leave your first Poetry Witchery Workshop with pages of revelatory writing, personalized talismans, the warm power of a supportive circle, and potent techniques to move your life forward with self-awareness and growth.
Like a yoga practice for our words, Poetry Witchery may be used as a strengthening technique; to gain self-knowledge; to achieve balance; for healing; or as a devotional practice. Poets, writers, witches, yogis, artists, meditators, seekers, and all pilgrims of the spirit will find in this unique teaching a wisdom both new and familiar.
Unless otherwise specified, Poetry Witchery circles are open to women and gender-nonconforming people. Occasionally an all-gender circle is offered (contact us to be put on the waiting list). And feel free to reach out if you have any questions at all!
Love,
Annie
