Doors open at 6:30, sacred circle begins at 7 pm
This evening of music, poetry, dance, and ritual offers profound healing for the #MeToo era, guiding all who identify as women to reclaim the irresistible power of our womb-energy in the cleansing fire of the spring equinox New Moon circle. Based in the mystery tale of Persephone and Demeter, the evening features poetry by award-winning poet Annie Finch, author of Spells; healing meditation from Deborah Roth; ritual adornment from Graciela Asher; the world premiere of a musical setting of Annie’s healing meditative poem “A Seed for Spring Equinox” composed by Matthew Harris; and sacred womb-healing dance in honor of the Goddess Oshun. Refreshments and sisterhood will follow.
Doors open at 6:30, sacred circle begins at 7 PM, no admittance after 7:15 pm.
Dress: Spring colors, green and yellow or whatever feels healing to your womb. Wear a skirt or pants if you would like your belly anointed.
Bring: For the altar, reminders of women (may include your younger self) whose wombs will also receive our healing. Materials for writing. Offerings you would like to add to those provided for Demeter, Persephone, and Oshun. Nibbles and libations for the after-circle festivities.
