An exhilarating two-part guided journey through the distinctive mysteries, challenges, and triumphs of your own poetic process.
Out of the safe container of a supportive small group, with two days set aside for poetic attention and with some guidance provided by Annie’s book A Poet’s Craft, we will cover it all. You will experience checking in with your muse and communing with your forepoets, setting poetic intentions and harking to inspiration, creating space for a poem to arise, listening to your poem with compassion, assertive sculpting, standing back from the mind, allowing your poem to complete, and unattached sharing.
Every stage of this exciting journey will unfold organically from the previous stage, affording you a full sense of how your poems grow that we will invite to remain with you and enrich your poetic process long after the workshop is over.
There’s room for 12 participants, so sign up early.
Requirements will be sent to participants ahead of time and will include inspirational objects, 3 books by poetic influences, at least 3 different new notebooks, plenty of loose typing-size paper, crayons or markers, pens, and at least one pencil with an eraser.
