Annie Finch is a poet, writer, playwright, librettist, critic, editor, ritualist, and performer. She is known for her expertise in poetic meter and form, feminism, and interest in earth-centered and women-centered spirituality. She is author of six books of poetry, author, editor, or coeditor of a dozen books of poetics, and editor of Choice Words, the first major literary anthology about abortion. She holds a Ph.D from Stanford University, has taught and lectured widely, and is the recipient of the Sarasvati Award for Poetry and the Robert Fitzgerald Award for her lifetime contribution to Versification.
